Dubbo MP, Dugald Saunders, has taken a tour of our roads across the Mid-Western regional area to make note of what needs improvement.

Multiple roads around the region will receive major upgrades as part of the ‘Fixing Local Roads Program’.

The State Government is said to spend a total of $500 million for the program that will cover defective roads throughout NSW.

Mid-Western Regional Council will receive (more than 5 million) $5,299,700 in this round, with (just under 2 million) $1,983,500 to be spent on completing the sealing of Aarons Pass Road.

Money will also be dedicated to sealing all bus routes on Collector Road, which also includes Mebul, Cox’s Creek and Pyramul road.

Mr Saunders says there are multiple travel routes that need fixing.

While the program is designed to provide safer roads, the local MP also says it will also benefit the local economy by generating jobs in the region.
