Development Application Open For Silver Mine at Lue

Post date: Jun 2, 2020 3:48:01 AM

As reported on our local news bulletin last week, the development application for Bowdens Silver Mine at Lue will go on display from today.

Tony McClure is from Bowdens told Ken Sutcliffe on 2MG, that the project has been in the planning since the 1990’s, but the project has been scaled back from the original plans.

He says that while it has been scaled back, it is still expected to process around 50 million ounces of Silver over the life of the mine.

Mr McClure also says that the main of their water will come from the Ulan Coal Fields via a pipeline or on-site recycled water.

He is urging members of the public to view the plans and to have a say, as the development is now open for public comment.
