Power restoration from the fires

The overall number of households and businesses still impacted by an
unplanned power outage due to damage to the electricity network from the
bushfires was reduced to 102 by 7.05pm last night (Wednesday evening).
Please note that this number includes sites where unfortunately power
cannot be restored due to property damage and locations which maybe
infrequently used (sheds, holiday homes and like).

Yesterday crews had difficulty accessing a number of sites and earthmoving
equipment has now been sourced to overcome this.

Crews hope to be able to restore power to most customers in the Wollar /
Kains Flat areas and on the Hannahs Bridge to Kokoda / Kensington /
Karrella powerline today.

Yesterday morning (Wednesday) alone, crews replaced  80 power poles in four

Customers should contact 13 20 80 if they require further information.
