The NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association have renewed calls for the Federal Government to introduce mandated ratios in aged care, following a recent staffing restructure at aged care facility, Pioneer House in Mudgee.

General Secretary of the association, Brett Holmes says that members have raised serious concerns for the welfare of residents, as well as their own personal safety while on-shift.

The NSWNMA is part of a national campaign calling for mandated ratios in aged care to address widespread staffing issues across the sector.
