Max Potential wraps for 2020

This year’s Max Potential program wrapped up with a Virtual showcase held on Friday.

Fourteen young adults from Kandos High School, Gulgong High School, St Matthews Catholic School and Mudgee High School were recognised in the online formal Celebration by their volunteer community coaches, family, friends, school representatives, program sponsors and special guests.

Club Mudgee CEO, Maureen Hutchison, recognised the success of the young adults and the contribution from the volunteer community coaches in her speech on behalf of the club, also highlighting how the program needed to adapt for the Covid-19 restrictions and how all involved had taken on the challenge to make the program a success despite the situation that was faced.

The final project was reimagined into a Community Service Pitch where the young adults took an idea, identified a target audience, sought input from likely users and stakeholders in undertaking a proof of concept and presenting their idea in a film based on how they could contribute to rebuilding the community post Covid-19 and the bushfire season.

Key note speaker was Andrew Gee, MP and member for Calare. Andrew joined the online event from Gulgong High School. Andrew recognised the young adults for what they had achieved in the program. Prior to the event, Andrew had watched a sample of the personal expression films and CSP films and reflected on this inspiring work during his speech. Andrew thanks the community coaches, Club Mudgee and all the sponsors.
