Energy Company Managing Safety Around Mudgee

posted Jul 9, 2020, 6:12 PM by 2MG Real FM
Essential Energy, will soon begin vegetation management within Mudgee and the surrounding region.

Work will be done to secure safety and the ongoing reliability of the electricity network, said to be carried out by the company’s contractors.

Alterations include, but not limited to the pruning of trees, and if necessary, the management and relocation of particular foliage.

Operations Manager, Jamie Warren, says “the vegetation program was about striking a balance between preserving the town’s trees and ensuring power safety and reliability for the community.”

He also says maintenance is crucial as the combination of trees and powerlines could be a dangerous combination.

The vegetation program is set to begin next week.
