Election Posters not on trees

posted Apr 30, 2019, 3:34 PM by 2MG Real FM
One Candidate for the Federal Election has already caused controversy in the region, with volunteers place a number of Election posters on trees on Major Roads in the Mid-Western Regional Council area.

Under council’s policy in relation to election material, no posters can be places in a range of locations, including on any tree.

As of yesterday, election posters for Nationals Candidate Andrew Gee could clearly be seen on Goolma Road, Ulan Road, and the Castlereagh highway.

Mr Gee’s office has been contacted for comment, but have not replied to our requests at this stage.

Meanwhile, we have asked all other candidates for Calare if they are aware or have instructed their volunteers to not place posters on tree, and while only one had responded so far, he says that they are aware of the policies and will adhere to these policies.
