Crimes down in our area

The Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research have released their latest crime statistics showing all major categories are either stable or falling for the second consecutive quarter across the state.

 

Police minister, Troy Grant welcomes the report and has commended the NSW Police Force for their ongoing efforts to drive down crime, while targeting emerging issues. 

 

In our local council area, there was major falls in rates of Break and enter dwelling and Steal from motor vehicle over both 2- and 5-year trends, falling by 47 and 35% respectively over the 2-year period.

 

Prohibited and regulated weapons offences and Breach bail conditions saw increases, with 135 beach of bail last calendar year.
