Country Labor candidate for Dubbo, Stephen Lawrence, says the party’s Arts & Cultural Policy announced this week

is great news for people who live in and visit Mudgee, Gulgong, Dubbo and other parts of the electorate.

Mr Lawrence says a Labor Government will invest an additional $100 million in the Regional Cultural Fund, doubling its size to $200 million.

As well he says the policy includes a new $40-million Regional Conservatorium fund to support music education in country areas,

support to bring the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to regional areas and better funding for public libraries in country towns which would be indexed to the CPI.

Mr Lawrence says Country Labor wants kids growing up in the Dubbo electorate to experience world class dance, music, and art.
