Changes To Castlereagh Highway This Week

posted May 5, 2020, 2:34 PM by 2MG Real FM
Motorists are reminded of changed traffic conditions on the Castlereagh Highway for road improvement work to be carried out this week.

The work involves placing asphalt at the railway crossing on a 200-metre section of the highway four kilometers north of Mudgee near Hill End Road to provide a smoother road surface and improve safety for all road users.

Mid-Western Regional Council is carrying out the work on behalf of Transport for NSW on Wednesday 6 May and Thursday 7 May between 7pm and 4am.

The work will be completed in two nights, weather permitting, to reduce impact on motorists.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place during work hours, including lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h for the safety of workers and road users.

Motorists are also advised of changed traffic conditions from TODAY on the Golden Highway at Dunedoo for essential maintenance to be carried out.

To enable the resealing and line marking of the road, there will be lane closures and local road closures between the intersection of the Castlereagh Highway and the railway crossing, 75 metres north of Wargundy Street.

Work will be carried out on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 May, between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting.
