Bushfire Danger Period ends

posted Apr 29, 2019, 12:55 PM by 2MG Real FM
The Bushfire danger period for the Cudgegong Fire District officially ends at Midnight tonight.

Earlier in the year, the decision was made to extend the period until the end of April because of the ongoing dry conditions.

Troy Porter from the Rural Fire Service says that even with the danger period now ending from tonight, landholders that wish to burn still need to notify the RFS and neighbours.

He says that the RFS & Neighbours require 24hours notice of any intended burns, and the Fire Control Centre can be notified by calling 63 72 44 34 during office hours.
