The New Mudgee Hospital has seen a slight Baby Boom, with 25 babies having already been born since the opening in May.

Caren Harrison from Mudgee Health Service told 2MG that it’s the higher end of the average for our region.

"A slow month for the number of babies is only around 15, whereas a busy month will be at least 30".

She also told Ken Sutcliffe that the theatre has also seen over 100 cases through its doors

"The first case was a cesarian which was only two days after we opened the new hospital, but since then we've had 113 born".
