Plans for a long-awaited Arts & Cultural Centre in Mudgee received a big boost on Friday, with the announcement by Member for Dubbo Troy Grant of a $2.3-million State Government grant.

It comes from the State’s Regional Cultural Fund and will go towards the redevelopment of the old Cudgegong Shire building at 90 Market Street Mudgee.

Mayor Kennedy said Council is keen to get moving on the project, with Councilor Sam Paine who has been heavily involved in the planning saying it will be much more than just an Art gallery.
