Saving the Small Purple Pea

The Small Purple Pea or Swainsona recta is an endangered plant located in the Central West of NSW. Populations of the Small Purple Pea are known to occur in remnant grassland and woodlands around Mandurama, Wellington and Mudgee.

Local Land Services are working with community and local government to protect this beautiful endangered plant. Head along to one of our Small Purple Pea identification workshops to learn more about the plant, it's threats and how you can assist in the recovery of the species. You can volunteer at one of the regional surveys between 17 and 28 September No skills necessary!

The Mudgee Identification Workshop is at the Mudgee Common/ Flirtation Hill on Sunday 23 September from 10.30 to 1.30
